The kynodesme (κυνοδέσμη, letters "snare Dog") was a thin leather straps worn by some athletes of ancient Greece to hold the penis in order to prevent the exposure of the glans. Was tied tightly around the ' akroposthion the part of the foreskin that extends beyond the glans. The kynodesme could then be attached to a bracelet to expose the scrotum, or tied to the base of the penis that appeared as curved upward. [ wikipedia]
